First off, I can see that you sure made one beautiful piece of artwork and I bet the others would agree upon that notion.
Also, about the poll considering this artworks lighting; for me the brightness here is considerable to what the artwork is about. Alright, moving on to other matters.
I'm not really quite sure on to what the character not the entire drawing is implying however I could say that the design by which your character was made off was great if not convincing. The lines were perfectly drawn as well as the colors used were just as compatible. The only notion I would like to put on is that the portrayal of the subject itself somewhat lacks. It would be better if the character was portrayed with the lower bodily segment other than just the upper torso, but hey, it's just an opinion and others might disagree to it <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

The technique used is quite good for it thoroughly brought out the beauty of your work.
